The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in their infinite wisdom has granted us a Notice of Allowance (NOA) in connection with our Nocona Tequila trademark application. Wahooo!
"What does that mean?" you ask.
Well, it means that there was no opposition to our trademark name during the 30-day opposition period, and we now advance to the Statement of Use (SOA) phase.
More importantly, however, it now gives us the ability to apply for and become registered with the Mexican CRT for 100% Blue Agave tequila production with our partners and the bottling of our product. As far as we understand it, with the Mexican CRT, we'll be able to potentially sell our 100% Blue Agave tequila within Mexico and export it to the United States.
The exportation of our 100% Blue Agave tequila to the United States and showing the actual use of our product and trademark in commerce will satisfy the Statement of Use (SOA) requirements, thereby fulfilling all our legal requirements.
I think this calls for a Nocona tequila Margarita! Cheers!
